The Understanding Booklet Series 

Baptism, Fasting, Temptation, and Giving to God’s work are all topics of both discussion and avoidance among various Christian groups. They are discussed because various traditions find places of both agreement and disagreement over each of these topics. The differences sometimes cause believers to avoid discussing some or all of these topics. In the Understanding series, Mark Ballard seeks to acknowledge the various traditions, but attempts to move beyond tradition alone to consider what the Bible itself says about each of these crucial topics.
